Balinese – Cat Breed of the Week
The Balinese cat is beautiful. People often choose this breed when they want a cat that is full of personality and active. If you’ve had one of these, you know exactly what I’m talking about right now.
Balinese are intelligent and affectionate. They love to be around their owners and their owners love to around them.
They enjoy communicating with their meows. They know you understand them, so don’t try to tell them you don’t understand what they want.
This is the perfect cat if you are looking for one who understands you inside and out. The Balinese have a powerful way of feeling what their owner is dealing with inside. For example, if you are sad, don’t be surprised that your Balinese will come up and rub against you. If you’re happy, your cat will be right there with you meowing up a storm over all of the joy. It’s the perfect pet for those who are sensitive and need a little coaching in life.
What makes Balinese unique is that they love riding on their owners’ shoulders. Since they are agile leapers, they aren’t afraid to go leaping through the air on and off your shoulders and other structures. Yes, it will seem as though they are flying through the air. And as cats do, they land on four feet.
Balinese cats don’t do well alone. They want to be cuddled up next to their owner as much as possible. This means that if you love to spend time with your pets on the couch or in bed, this cat is perfect for you. It also means that these cats are better for people who don’t work a lot. An eight hour day can be very lonely and depressing for the Balinese.
The following attributes are typical of the Balinese:
- Active
- Playful
- Needs attention
- Affectionate
- Vocalizes often
- Smart
- Healthy and hardy
- Needs grooming
- Great with children
- Does well with other pets
The Appearance of Balinese
Many people confuse the Balinese with a Siamese or Himalayan. While they do share similar characteristics, they have some striking differences that make them unique. The Balinese is a descendant of the Siamese, thought. They have the four traditional colors: seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac.
Dealing with the Loss of the Balinese
Since Balinese cats are so affectionate and in tune with their owners’ feelings, it can feel as though you’ve lost a part of you when your cat crosses the Rainbow Bridge. Who will comfort you now? Who will keep you company?
It can be devastating when your beloved cat dies. We want to make this difficult time easier for you with our pet urns. While we don’t have a Balinese figurine cat urn, we do have a Siamese one that many of our customers have chosen since they do resemble their cat so much.
With our pet urns, you can keep your cat near you forever. Just because he can’t cuddle up to you, speak to you, and give you the condolence you need right now, his or her presence can be felt with this urn.
